Welcome to Pacha Surf Beach and a great team of passionate kitesurfers

Pacha Surf Beach - The foundation

Pacha Surf Beach was founded by Samir and Genc back in 2013, as they decided to get their last money together and start building their dream and future. A dream, which has now developed into one of the biggest kitesurfing schools on the 14km long and sandy Velika Plaza. Here you will now find everything you need for your kitesurfing holiday: A storage and kite office, showers and toilets, changing rooms, sweet water, an own cleaning area for your kite gear, start- and landing assistance, rescue service (if you will ever need it), sun beds and a super nice beach bar with restaurant. This is a place where people come to relax, enjoy and have a good time together with the team. A place where the affectionate atmosphere makes everyone feel welcome. This is the place where couples, groups and single travelers as well as families will equally enjoy their time, either relaxing on the sun beds, having a drink in the bar, playing beach volley, having the first kitesurf lesson OR simply combining it all.

The Spot

This spot is ideal for beginners and intermediate kitesurfers due to its wide sandy beach, waist deep water and the steady side-onshore wind. You'll find nothing but fine sand without any rocks, shells or similar. Next to this, Pacha Surf is the one of the few kite centers along the Velika Plaza, which aims to make sure there are no swimmers in the kite zone during the windy hours of the day.

From May till September the Albanian Alps in the south cater for super steady thermal winds that will hit the coast in the early afternoon with 16 to 22 knots. In kite sizes this usually means 9 – 12m2 during high season and bigger kites during May and September, usually 12 – 15m2.

The wind will usually kick in like a clock at the early hours of the afternoon (1pm). Thus you can relax in the morning or explore the surrounding area and nature. Let the team give you some advice about where to go and what to see! As tides don’t really exist in Montenegro you can start kiting whenever the wind kicks in.

If you come in July or August, wetsuits are not really necessary unless you easily burn. During the months of May, September and partly June, we advice to wear long wetsuit (2/3) or shorty. A few kilometers downwind there is a river mouth with perfect flat water. There is not a lot of space but it's definitely still one of the best flat water spots you will ever find!
